A very busy week with visits to the Fire and Rescue Service, Jersey Field Squadron and the Prison. I was impressed with the total professionalism in all three departments and the commitment of the people involved. Despite the challenges presented by the ongoing requirements to reduce spending there remains a real “can do” attitude.
I was appointed Assistant Home Affairs Minister today. Visited the HQ of the department located at 11 Royal Square and met the staff and officers. Received a written copy of the Ministerial brief together with copy of the Criminal Justice Policy and a suggested timetable for visits to the relevant departments.
