– Right, a quick round up for Feb’ 2012; The States sat only once during February however the month was fairly busy with other business and meetings. A couple of highlights; (i) On Tuesday 21st the Jersey Hospitality Association (of which I have the honour to be President) delivered a presentation to States Members on the importance of Tourism to our Society, Culture and Economy – the event was very well attended (40 States Members) and demonstrated strong support for the industry. (ii) I am working closely with the Home Affairs Minister and have been delegated a number of interesting legislative tasks. Next week, Tuesday 6th March 2012, will see the States debate the Composition and Terms of Reference of the new Electoral Commission, I am expecting a lively debate (see My Blog).
